Dr. Danilyants received her fellowship training in Advanced Retroperitoneal Laparoscopic Surgery through the exclusive Johnson and Johnson/Ethicon EndoSurgery (EES) fellowship program. The EES program offered less than 10 positions nationally. Dr. Danilyants was accepted into the EES program after completing her residency at the George Washington University in Washington DC where she served as Chief Resident. Through the EES fellowship program, Dr. Danilyants completed extensive training in Advanced Retroperitoneal Laparoscopic Surgical techniques and practiced an additional three years at the Women’s Surgery Center. At WSC, Dr. Danilyants was the Director of Advanced Retroperitoneal Laparoscopic Surgery and developed a very successful practice, performing more than 4000 GYN surgeries for all indications.
Dr. Danilyants is the former Division Chief of Minimally Invasive Gyn Surgery at Inova Fair Oaks Hospital as well as former Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at George Washington University Hospital. She received numerous awards for her exceptional surgical skill and care, including the Outstanding Laparoendoscopic Award in 2007 and AAGL (American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists) Award for Special Excellence in Endoscopic Procedures in 2008, and Center of Excellence in Minimally Invasive Gynecology Designated Surgeon in 2012.
She was honored to receive a Patient’s Choice Award and Compassionate Doctor Recognition by her patients for her excellent care and compassionate bedside manner. She was recently named in the 2013 Super Doctors Edition of The Washington Post Magazine as a “Rising Star."
Dr. Danilyants lives in Maryland with her husband and twins. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family and chasing after her Boxer, Mosley.

Dr. MacKoul is board certified in both Gynecology and Gynecologic Oncology. As a leader in the field of laparoscopy, he has presented at major national meetings and been published in world-renowned medical journals. He is frequently sought as a medical expert on techniques for minimally invasive removal of non-cancerous, pre-cancerous, and cancerous tumors. He is a specialist in the treatment of gynecological cancers as well as benign conditions such as fibroids, ovarian masses and endometriosis.
Dr. MacKoul is a Clinical Associate Professor at George Washington University Hospital. He is Director of Gynecologic Laparoscopy at Holy Cross Hospital, and the former Director of GYN Oncology at George Washington University Hospital and Washington Hospital Center. He was named a Center of Excellence in Minimally Invasive Gynecology Designated Surgeon in 2012. He has been named a Top Doctor multiple times by the Washingtonian Magazine as well as Northern Virginia Magazine.
Dr. MacKoul completed his fellowship in gynecologic oncology at the University of North Carolina, and his residency in OB/GYN at the University of Maryland. He graduated from Medical School at Tufts University after completing a Masters degree at Vincent T. Lombardi Cancer Center at Georgetown University.
Dr. E. Britton Chahine is a board certified minimally invasive gynecologic surgeon. Dr. Chahine earned her medical degree from Eastern Virginia Medical Center in Norfolk, VA, and completed her OB/GYN residency at Vanderbilt University. After residency, Dr. Chahine completed an Advanced Pelvic Surgery Fellowship at Emory University. Dr. Chahine’s research interests include basic science and clinical research on fibroids, including management of fibroids via minimally invasive techniques. Prior to joining The Center for Innovative GYN Care, she was the Division Director of Gynecology and Associate Director of OB/GYN Simulation at Medstar Washington Hospital Center. She was also assistant professor of OB/GYN and Co-Director of the Minimally Invasive Surgery fellowship at The George Washington University.
Dr. Chahine is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and a member of the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopics. She has received teaching awards, and was nominated for an AAMC humanism award as well as receiving Washington’s, “Top Doctors” award in 2008 and 2010 and 2014. Dr. Chahine practice focus is Uterine fibroids, Treatment of abnormal uterine bleeding, Benign gynecologic pathology, Prolapse, Contraception, Asherman’s disease, Endometriosis and Ovarian cysts.
