On July 13th, The White Dress Project is hosting an annual fundraising dinner and silent auction at the Liaison Capitol Hill hotel, located at 415 New Jersey Avenue Northwest Washington, DC. The Center for Innovative GYN Care is honored to be in the hosting committee. The event will begin at 7 pm.

The White Dress Project is an organization committed to provide education and support for women living with uterine fibroids. A Night In White, during Fibroids Awareness Month, strives to empower women to recognize the power of their stories, take pride in their strength and inspire them to be their own advocates. The theme of the 2018 event is: Breaking the Wall of Silence – Empowering Women to be Fearless One Story at a Time.

“We are so excited about the growth of our organization over the years and look forward to sharing in this night of empowerment, strength, and sisterhood for women! If you haven’t yet secured a ticket, do so as soon as you can and encourage a friend, sister, or co-worker to join you!” said Rashetta Fairnot, Vice Chair of the DC Chapter of The White Dress Project, and CIGC LAAM patient.

THE CENTER FOR INNOVATIVE GYN CARE ADVOCACY EFFORTS

The Center for Innovative GYN Care is dedicated to providing information and materials for women to help navigate the complicated healthcare system. Our minimally invasive surgeons have seen firsthand the pain and anxiety women with fibroids face. We have also seen what delaying fibroid surgery can do to distort a woman’s uterus. The longer a woman suffers with fibroids, the likelihood of extensive damage to her reproductive organs increases. CIGC works closely with fibroids awareness organizations to ensure that our patients have access to the support they need, and have the most up-to-date information about the most effective minimally invasive fibroid removal to manage pain, bleeding and infertility.

The CIGC founders, minimally invasive GYN surgical specialists Paul MacKoul MD and Natalya Danilyants MD, developed their advanced GYN surgical techniques using only two small incisions with patients’ well-being in mind. The advanced LAAM myomectomy is performed on patients who are able to retain fertility, and women recover in less than 2 weeks. DualPortGYN hysterectomy is definitive fibroid treatment through removal of the uterus, and women typically recover in 1 week. The personalized approach to care helps patients understand their condition and the recommended treatment so that they can have confidence from the very start. Our surgeons have performed over 20,000 GYN procedures and are constantly finding better ways to improve outcomes for patients.
