About The Center for Innovative GYN Care

The Center for Innovative GYN Care® (CIGC®) is an advanced laparoscopic GYN surgical practice, founded in 2001 by fellowship-trained laparoscopic surgical specialists Dr. Paul MacKoul and Dr. Natalya Danilyants. Women with fibroids, endometriosis, adenomyosis, ovarian cysts, unresolved abnormal menstrual bleeding, or pelvic pain have superior results with our minimally invasive outpatient procedures.

The DualPortGYN® technique and LAAM® fibroid removal for fertility technique were developed by Paul MacKoul, MD, and Natalya Danilyants, MD, to improve GYN surgical procedures. CIGC patients experience less time under anesthesia, minimized risk of complications during and after surgery, less time needed for recovery, and exceptional patient outcomes overall. The incisions for CIGC procedures are small, and placed strategically within the midline. The size and location of the incisions mean pain is minimized, so women are back to their lives and families faster. Read more in the CIGC Media Fact Sheet.

Meet The CIGC Co-Founders

The world-renowned laparoscopic GYN surgical specialists Paul MacKoul, MD, and Natalya Danilyants, MD, developed the DualPortGYN and LAAM techniques used at The Center for Innovative GYN Care (CIGC). CIGC was founded in 2001 with these advanced techniques. Their combined expertise in retroperitoneal dissection and uterine artery ligation makes hysterectomy (removal of the uterus), myomectomy (removal of fibroids), ovarian cystectomy, and surgical treatment for other complex conditions safe and efficient outpatient procedures, using just two small incisions.

CIGC doctors

The focus on patient experience is what sets our practice apart. The DualPortGYN and LAAM techniques were developed to improve GYN surgical procedures, decreasing the amount of time patients spend under anesthesia, minimizing the risk of complications during and after surgery, and reducing patient recovery time.

The attention given to each patient’s condition is the result of decades of experience and thousands of procedures.
