Dr. George Iskander graduated from the University of Assiut School of Medicine in Egypt in 2007. He completed his General Surgery residency at SUNY Downstate Medical Center and his Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Additionally, Dr. Iskander holds an MBA from the University of Texas and has served as an Assistant Professor at the Texas Tech University School of Medicine.
With a strong clinical focus on uterine fibroids, abnormal uterine bleeding, minimally invasive surgery, and robot-assisted and laparoscopic hysterectomy, Dr. Iskander has performed over 1,000 hysterectomies throughout his career.
Originally from Egypt, Dr. Iskander now resides in Fairfax, VA, with his wife and two sons. He is deeply committed to community service, particularly within the Arabic population, and is an active member of the Coptic Church. In addition to his medical work, he volunteers his time for international medical missions and enjoys coaching soccer in his spare time.
