Minimally invasive infertility surgery can help to improve your chances of conceiving.

minimally invasive fertility surgeryThere are various conditions that can affect fertility, and it is possible for more than one GYN condition to be present at the same time.

Many women struggle with fertility treatments and discover later that there was a treatable condition that would have improved the success rates of intrauterine insemination (IUI) and in vitro fertilization (IVF) treatments. Some women are actually able to conceive naturally after minimally invasive infertility surgery at The Center for Innovative GYN Care.

Getting a fertility evaluation early on can make all the difference to a successful conception. The minimally invasive GYN specialists at The Center for Innovative GYN Care partner with reproductive endocrinologists to ensure fertility patients have the best possible care from surgery to fertility treatment. They are experts in conditions that can lead to infertility.

FIBROIDS

Infertility & Fibroids – Fibroids located near the uterine cavity, in the uterine cavity, or involving the fallopian tubes can significantly affect pregnancy rates.

Fertility Surgery: A Love Story – Ljubica had been trying fertility treatments for over a year. After a fibroid grew, Dr. Paul MacKoul, MD also discovered a polyp. After successful surgery, she got pregnant just a few months later…naturally.

ENDOMETRIOSIS

Endometriosis Treatment to Improve Fertility – The body responds to endometriosis by releasing excess inflammatory cells. This can cause pain, or create pelvic adhesions which can prevent conception. In addition, the inflammatory cells can potentially affect sperm function or impair the function of the fallopian tubes. Endometriomas, fluid filled cysts on the ovaries that result from endometriosis can alter ovarian function.

Infertility & Endometriosis – The surgical management of endometriosis can be difficult and complex. At CIGC, we often treat patients who go on to conceive immediately after surgery.

HYDROSALPINX

The Function Of The Fallopian Tubes – Inflammation of the fallopian tubes is known as hydrosalpinx, a condition where fluid swells the tubes, making it difficult for women to get pregnant. There are multiple causes of inflammation. Pelvic infections are a common cause, as are fibroids obstructing the tubes or prior surgery causing scarring to the tubes. If the tubes are blocked most fertility doctors recommend IVF to bypass the tubes.

UTERINE SCARS/POLYPS

Removing Scars or Polyps From The Uterus Can Improve Pregnancy Rates – Scar tissue or polyps in the uterine lining can prevent the implantation of the embryo. Removal of the scar tissue by a minimally invasive GYN specialist can allow for pregnancy to occur.
