CIGC Patient Stories: Happier & Healthier After Surgery

Gen Blog Feature Image

Successful pregnancies. No Pain. Freedom to try new things.

When you listen to each patient who has suffered with a GYN condition (someone who has tried everything, or had multiple failed surgeries before coming to CIGC), the idea that a real solution is possible with minimal scarring is eye-opening. The groundbreaking techniques developed by the specialists at The Center for Innovative GYN Care take what many women know to be the norm for hysterectomy or myomectomy surgery and turns it on its head.

Our patients have kindly shared their stories and sent pictures of their babies and of their improved lives.

CIGC PATIENT STORIES

heidi coat blogRead & Watch: Fibroids & Hysterectomy: Heidi’s Story

Heidi was diagnosed with a fibroid and was told it might be cancerous. Her doctor recommended robotic surgery with a power morcellator. Soon after, Heidi heard a news report that women with cancerous fibroids should not have surgery with a power morcellator and she refused to go through with the surgery. After doing her own research, she found Dr. Paul MacKoul, and decided to have a minimally invasive hysterectomy at CIGC.

After suffering for years with painful periods and extreme bleeding, Helene decided to try the LAAM procedure at CIGC. The uterine sparing minimally invasive myomectomy allowed her to move on with her life and go back to school, and travel to Africa with her father.

EmilyWatch: Endometriosis & Infertility: Emily’s Story
