Phyllis Fortunato, M.Ed., L.P.C.
Phyllis Fortunato has been helping individuals and couples for more than 20 years in her Fairfax, Virginia, private practice. She is passionate about all aspects of women’s health, particularly the complex effects that chronic pelvic problems have on one’s intimate relationships and sense of self. She believes strongly that therapy is a way to create a confidential, safe connection in order to reduce pain and loss, manage symptoms of anxiety and depression, and explore and grow individually or within relationships. Phyllis received her Master of Education in counseling and development from George Mason University in 1997. Prior to launching her private practice, she provided training and therapy across the country for the Department of Justice. To accommodate COVID-19, she currently provides teletherapy for clients in the area and virtual consulting worldwide on HIPAA-compliant platforms.
