Faraj Touchan joined The Center for Innovative GYN Care in 2019. He is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and FLS certified by the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Touchan graduated from the Aleppo University Medical School in Syria, and completed his residency at the Sisters of Charity Hospital in Buffalo, NY, where he was appointed chief resident. He enjoys teaching and was an associate professor at the University at Buffalo. He is currently a Laparoscopic and Minimally Invasive Surgery mentor in the RWJ-Barnabas residency program.
He has a special interest in minimally invasive GYN surgery, and has performed thousands of surgeries for conditions such as fibroids and endometriosis, as well as urogynecologic and infertility procedures.
Dr. Touchan is member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, as well as the European Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy. He has earned multiple awards in education and research, including Physician of the Year Award in New York. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, skiing, watching movies and traveling.
