Tower Surgical Partners (TSP) is a management company specializing in the unique needs of minimally invasive surgery centers and physician practices. TSP partners with physicians to expand existing and develop future surgical centers for long-term growth. TSP is seeking the services of an experienced Syndication Director for all existing and acquired facilities.

TSP is a comprehensive Ambulatory Surgical Center (ASC) management company with experts in site development/acquisition, legal, finance, state accreditation, policies, and operations. TSP works closely with its clinical partners to provide access for patients to the highest quality GYN surgical services available. They have developed new procedural technology including DualPortGYN and LAAM procedures allowing major GYN surgical procedures to be performed in an outpatient ASC setting. Demand for these procedures is significant, with patients from 46 states and 30 foreign countries accessing the practice since 2013. This model is a unique and progressive concept with potential for expansion regionally and nationally. This model has unlimited market potential, and requires employees who are dedicated, have an entrepreneurial spirit, and superb work ethic.

The Syndication Director will pursue new business opportunities, growth, and expansion of existing business. This position works with the leadership team to manage the sale of ownership interest in TSP’s clinical partner to physician utilizers who bring cases to the practice or ASC. TSP is looking for a self-motivated individual who will assist in bringing a highly innovative physician practice into new markets and regions as well as extend the opportunity to physicians locally. This job includes, but is not limited to, promoting the surgery center to a variety of physician populations, conducting physician sales calls, developing and implementing strategies to enhance communications with physician groups.

Responsibilities

  • Lead efforts to syndicate existing and new ASCs
  • Leverages existing contracts and network within the healthcare community to be able to gain access to the most productive physicians
  • Works with the marketing team and local site(s) leadership to develop a fluid plan for site visits based on day-to-day priorities to identify syndication opportunities
  • Works with marketing resources to identify and create targeted campaigns that will create additional awareness and generate additional meeting generation
  • Identifies, evaluates, and targets physicians with best syndication potential
  • Coordinates syndication with Vice Presidents, physicians, Development team, and Marketing team
  • Demonstrates the ability to effectively communicate and present to physicians, Medical/hospital Boards, and Senior Management
  • Develops thorough understanding of the market for each site within the assigned territory. Analyzes competition to identify selling points and potential weaknesses. Submits regular analyses of defined market to the marketing team
  • Responsible for increasing the patient volume by maintaining relationships with existing referral sources and developing new relationships with healthcare professionals
  • Reports directly to the Vice President of Operations
  • Educates key referral sources on the value proposition
  • Organizes and maintains a CRM with key contacts and keep detailed and accurate notes of all sales related activities
  • Maintains profile on each physician and office staff
  • Develops and implements physician outreach strategies and continually updates top targets list
  • Writes trip summaries for each physician visit and maintains in a log or database, with all sales conversations, market intelligence, concerns/complaints, compliments, referral data, questions and follow-up steps outlined (Salesforce)
  • Facilitates reporting and tracking on in-market activity and develop forecasts and goals for Development team and Operations
  • Develops, maintains and strengthens positive relationships with physicians to increase ASC market share
  • Contacts physicians on a regular basis to initiate and/or maintain relationships, communicate updates, obtain service feedback and provide educational information
  • Leverages clinical administrators and physician leaders in site visits as needed
  • Consistently provides timely and effective follow-up after each physician meeting
  • Proactively solicits feedback during physician visits
  • Compiles, analyzes and communicates market intelligence from physician meetings
  • Collects and analyzes physician referral and satisfaction data
  • Invites physician and staff to visit the surgery center and arranges tours as appropriate

 

Requirements

  • Travel up to 50% – primarily east coast based
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, management, communications, nursing, healthcare administration or related field required
  • 7-10 years of experience in healthcare sales and/or marketing required (will consider professional-level healthcare experience, including ongoing coordination/communication with physicians, physician liaison in lieu of sales and marketing). Experience with syndication in an ASC setting experience is strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of the ambulatory surgery center industry required
  • Knowledge of the regulatory requirements involved in practice and ASC syndication is required
  • Must have an unencumbered Driver’s License
  • Must have own transportation and be able to visit multiple locations, local and out of state
  • Demonstrated understanding of the physician practice business model through direct or indirect experience
  • Strong financial and mathematical analytical skills preferred
  • Ability to work independently and effectively with other employees and physicians to accomplish tasks
  • Enthusiastic, optimistic attitude, and self-driven
  • Strong presentation and relationship building skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications; comfortable with learning and navigating innovative technology
