Physician Liaison


The Center for Innovative GYN Care (CIGC) is a progressive, minimally invasive GYN surgical practice that that requires the services of an experienced, full time Physician Liaison. CIGC has redefined the meaning of minimally invasive GYN surgery, providing some of the most advanced procedures for women in 46 states and 30 countries. CIGC developed innovative and revolutionary GYN techniques to simplify even the most complicated surgical procedures. In this challenging and rewarding position, the Physician Liaison will take a lead role in supporting the development of CIGC’s physician-to-physician relationships. The Physician Liaison will serve as a referral coordinator between CIGC and referring physicians, medical groups, hospitals, and other medical facilities. The liaison will develop relationships with case managers, physicians and clinicians and promote the extensive, comprehensive services offered at CIGC, as well as the progressive patient experience and innovative techniques.

• Identifies targeted physicians and medical groups for development of referral relationships
• Initiates contact with new referral sources and maintain existing sources on a regular basis
• Completes face-to-face meetings with physicians, schedulers, practice managers, and medical staff from referring physicians, medical groups, and hospitals to ensure that a thorough understanding is gained regarding the physician and medical facility staff desires and needs
• Identifies target markets in accordance with organizational strategy utilizing familiarity with operations and existing reporting and tools
• Evaluates and interprets market utilization data and market demographics, including market share data for primary or secondary facility service lines, ensures that sales priorities are identified for both physicians and patient populations
• Interprets current physician referral patterns, trends, and financial margins
• Develops sales and retention strategies for target markets and facility service lines
• Creates goals and timelines for closing new or enhanced physician referrals and referral volumes based on new or established physician and outreach relationships
• Facilitates the retention of physician, referring hospital and community relationships
• Effectively manages territory, and conducts office visits educating offices on services offered, enhancement and new advances,
• Maintains image (community-centered, patient-first, leading-edge provider) and implements new products/services/protocols during office visits
• Communicates opportunities, market trends, and issues to appropriate management/staff in a timely manner
• Increases referral percentages/volume and expand services utilized
• Prepares/presents opportunities, market trends, and challenges to appropriate leadership/staff in a timely manner and on a regular basis, gaining support and commitment as needed
• Coordinates meetings between key staff, physician groups, and external customer groups to improve communication and relationships in order to increase referrals or resolve customer service issues

• Bachelor’s degree required
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in referring physician outreach with increasing levels of responsibility
• Travel up to 70% around the DMV
• Unencumbered driver’s license and transportation
• Experience with SalesForce or similar software preferred
• Ability to work effectively with varied constituencies in the healthcare setting, including senior administrators and leadership
• Willingness to accommodate physician’s schedules, which may occasionally fall outside of standard office hours
• Knowledge of ASCs with physician practices
• Knowledge of sales, physician retention, and marketing
