Staff members are the heart and soul of CIGC. Our clinical staff, researchers, service employees, administrators, and other professionals are among the very best in their fields.
Works under the clinical supervision of the practice physician(s) and office manager and is responsible for assisting the physicians in the practice. Assists in examination and treatment of patients, interviews patients, measures vital signs (i.e.: pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height), and records information on patients’ charts. Answer phones, scan medical charts.
2-4 years of medical assistant experience. At least 2 year of experience in a physician practice setting. High School Diploma. Successfully passed the Certified Medical Assistant exam from either the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) Knowledge of EMR systems.
Must be professional, organized, and a detail-oriented team player with effective interpersonal communication skills and excellent customer service skills. Possesses compassionate demeanor and high ethical standards. HIPAA/OSHA compliance required. Communicates effectively with patients, physicians, co-workers and practice manager.
Important: Travel is required to our other physician practices in Reston, VA and Annapolis, MD. Most clinical days will be in Rockville, MD clinic.
